Disaster Preparedness Training

There is a need to be prepared ahead of time. If you study better about disasters, you will surely understand the importance of Disaster management. Do you think there is a necessity of disaster preparedness training to everyone at school level, community level, country level and global level? In normal days, we enjoy leisure time with family and friends. However, when unexpected disaster comes, routines changed drastically and people are suddenly aware of how fragile their lives can be. But this mandatory disaster preparedness training surely brings improved ability to cope with and recover from a disaster.  This training will also help us and our family survive a disaster and reduce financial and life loss.

  •   Deployment of patrolmen, watchmen  & mobile patrolmen

  •  Diesel locomotives in case of electricity failure
  •  Hospital cares, as it is crucial to keep hospitals safe & functional during & after disaster
  • Safety kit
  • Counselling center
  • Stocking all basic requirements to be used after disaster
  •  Clearing obstructions to ensure free flow of rain water

This government’s preparedness has shown us how to reduce estimated potential losses from devastating effect of disaster.  

Disaster Management  has pivotal role at three stages: before disaster, During disaster & after disaster.

Before disaster : Alertness , stocking materials, studying upcoming disasters , disaster preparedness training

During disaster : help of task force & volunteers for on field rescue operation

After disaster : counselling, restoration & recovery of normal life & infrastructure with basic amenities, ensuring all kinds of securities of victims

Now days, disaster recovery has became greater business priority. Looking at disaster pattern, making individual capable for any sudden disaster at front level will become significant to deal with better Disaster Management. Henceforth, an individual’s training will become a part of Disaster management & planning.

How can individual play important role in Disaster Management?

  •  Cooperation & coordination with rescue teams
  • Being volunteer
  • Developing disaster management ability  through Disaster Preparedness Training

  • Preparation of emergency supplies
  •  Study of disaster management models, demos, theories and availability of required equipments   

To sum up the intention behind this writing article is disaster preparedness training should be there as an educational part. We can’t keep ignoring it to see major losses. Local community level preparedness is a first line defence towards disaster. Thereby, each individual should be aware about how first response to the sudden disaster should be.
